    Sleep-Guard 2 Assembly Steps

Step 1: Arrange Rails by Numbered Labels

Lay the top and bottom rails on a clean, flat floor, following the sequence of the numbered labels. Ensure they are parallel with the inner channels facing inward. Position the two side rails on either side, also with their inner channels facing inward, to prepare for assembly.

    Step 2: Connect the Rails

Connect the two side rails to the top and bottom rails. Ensure each corner snaps firmly into place to form a secure frame.

Ensuring the pull cords are properly aligned and free of obstructions within the frame.

Step 3: Align the Pull Cords

Check that the pull cords are centered and not snagged or pinched, ensuring the shade can operate smoothly.

    Step 4: Operation Test

Close the shades to test the assembly and ensure everything functions correctly.

    No-Drill Installation

Peeling the backing off the adhesive sealing strip for no-drill installation.

Step 1: Peel off Protective Film

Remove the protective film from the adhesive side of the sealing strips.

Step 2: Apply Sealing Strips to the Frame

Attach the sealing strips to all four sides of the Sleep-Guard frame. Ensure full coverage with no gaps. Do not stretch the strips when going around corners; keep them relaxed to form a perfect 90-degree angle. Stretching may cause light leaks at the corners.

Tilting and pushing the Sleep-Guard frame into the window recess for a snug, no-drill fit.

    Step 1:Place into Window Recess

Tilt the shade into the bottom of the window recess and push it into position. Ensure the bottom of the shade remains parallel to the window frame, then push the top into place.

Using a power drill to drive screws through the side rail pilot holes and securing the bottom rail (over 80cm) to the window frame.

Step 2: Drill and Screw Fixation

Use an electric drill to create pilot holes through the pre-drilled points on the side rails into the window frame, then secure them with screws. Please note: for units where the bottom rail exceeds 80cm, screw fixation is required by default for added stability.

Holding the pull cords away from the drill bit to prevent damage.

    Protect the Cords

Use a tool to move the pull cords aside while drilling to avoid scratching or cutting them.

Installing the magnetic strip on the bottom rail and performing a final operation test.

Step 3: Install Bottom Magnetic Strip & Test

Insert the Bottom Rail Magnetic Strip into its groove and press to secure. Finally, test the operation of the shades by opening and closing them.

    Sleep-Guard 2 Cellular Shades - FAQ

A: Check the pull cords first. Ensure they are centered and not caught or twisted within the side rails. Also, verify that the frame is perfectly rectangular and not skewed.

A: This usually happens if the sealing strips were stretched during application. Peel them off and re-apply them without pulling or tension, ensuring they form a relaxed 90-degree angle at the corners for a light-tight fit.

A: Before drilling, use a small tool (like a screwdriver or the provided spacer) to gently push the pull cords away from the drilling path. Double-check the cord position before each hole.

A: Absolutely. If you decide to switch to a more permanent fix, you can drill directly through the pre-marked points on the side rails and secure them with screws. There is no need to remove the sealing strips—they will continue to provide a light-tight seal.
