7 Simple Steps to Install Motorized Cellular Shades

Works for Inside & Outside Mounts (This guide shows inside mount installation)

Step 1: Attach the Brackets to the Headrail

Start by attaching the mounting brackets to each end of the motorized cellular shades headrail. Place each bracket about 4 inches (≈10 cm) from the edges. Proper bracket placement ensures your motorized shades operate smoothly and last longer.

Step 2: Position the Shades & Mark Bracket Placement

Hold your motorized cellular shades at the top of the window recess to check the final placement. Use a pencil to mark where the brackets will go.

Tip: Make sure there are no obstacles like window handles or locks. Proper positioning allows your motorized shades to roll up and down freely.

    Step 3: Mark Screw Holes

Remove the brackets from the headrail and place them on the marks. Mark the screw hole locations on the window frame with a pencil. Accurate screw placement is essential for a secure installation of your motorized shades.

    Step 4: Drill Pilot Holes

Use a drill to make pilot holes at the pencil marks. This ensures your brackets stay stable and your motorized cellular shades fit perfectly.

    Step 5: Insert Wall Anchors

If needed, insert wall anchors into the holes. Wall anchors provide extra support, especially for heavier blackout cellular shades or larger windows.
